My Rating Scale

I try to keep my rating scale simple.

I have included an outline of my rating scale and the things that I look out for. This criteria applies to nearly everything I read or watch unless I state otherwise. Of course, my rating scale is not absolute and will most likely change over time. Everyone’s opinions are different.

The following points are what I look out for the most:

  • Plot
  • Writing
  • Characters

As you may have noticed, my ratings are based on a 5-star rating system. Every point that I list above is rated individually. I then take the average for a final score. It probably seems a little tedious, but I find that it helps me focus on particular things about the story. However, I will not always add ratings for these individual points in my reviews.

You can expect an elaboration of my ratings in every review.

5 out of 5 stars:⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Perfect
Binge-worthy goodness! Hits all the points.
4 out of 5 stars:⭐⭐⭐⭐Amazing
Binge-worthy with very minor flaws.
3 out of 5 stars:⭐⭐⭐YES!
The story is good and the negatives balance out the positives.
2 out of 5 stars:⭐⭐I Liked Some Things
The story has great potential, but there is something that is missing.
1 out of 5 stars:No Thanks
A 1/5 score does not mean that the content is bad. It just means that I did not like the story.
0 out of 5 stars: DNFDid Not Finish
This one’s self explanatory. I cannot leave a rating for something that I did not finish.
